Louis Vuitton has opened a store dedicated solely to watches and jewellery at the prestigious address of 23, place Vendôme in Paris, only a few metres away from the historic address of 4, rue Neuve des Capucines, where Louis Vuitton set up his first store in 1854.

Beneath the roof of this seventeenth century building, the luxury goods brand has also set up its first fine jewellery workshop, in a space that still contains the antique workbenches that have been used by successive generations of craftsmen.

“We are very happy to open our first store dedicated to jewellery and watches on the Place Vendôme in Paris and we are very proud to also open our first workshop in the cradle of haute joaillerie,” said Yves Carcelle, President of Louis Vuitton. “Here, our craftsmen will be able to show off all their talent and create truly exceptional pieces.”

The brand called upon the services of architect Peter Marino for the interior decoration of the new premises at this prestigious address. He paid particular attention to the materials chosen. “Each piece of jewellery tells a story,” he said, “so the décor should be self-effacing and allow room for dialogue and the visitor’s dreams.”
