With the creation of the watch “Stripes” Alexander Shorokhov is building a bridge to a school that is expressed especially in the works of the German artist Günter Fruhtrunk (1923-1982).

The creations of Fruhtrunk are, like many others, influenced by Malevich and the works of suprematism and constructivism. His “striped” pictures are of a strict and precise imagery using stylistic means without any concrete idea.

The same is true of the “Stripes” watch, with its rhythmically arranged stripes, changing colours and circles as disruptive elements. The double-time watch with its discursive design is typical of the singularity of this brand which combines Russian creativity with the high precision of items “Made in Germany”.
