Extra-thin: Ice by Ice-Watch

Belgian brand Ice-Watch continues the unrelenting pace of product development that helped the brand sell in excess of four million watches last year alone.

Its latest product launch, called simply “Ice” in line with its minimalist design, is already the brand’s second new launch this year (and yes, we are only in the third week of January!). Only last week the brand presented its first Swiss Made models.

The Ice uses a single piece of silicone to envelope the container holding the movement and form both a rubberised bezel and the watch strap in one harmonious element. They are available in eight colours: white, black, grey, blue, sky blue, red, cherries and violet and each model has simple baton hour and minute hands in a colour chosen to deliberately contrast with that of the dial and case. A subtle “ice” inscription at 3 o’clock is the only other element on the dial.
