1815 RATTRAPANTE PERPETUAL CALENDAR by A. Lange & Söhne

April 2013

The two fiendish complications of split-seconds chronograph and perpetual calendar found in this new model from Dresden require a movement with 636 individual components. Even more astonishingly, though, is the use of hands read on subdials, rather than Lange’s familiar oversized date discs, to display the day, date and month of the perpetual calendar functions. The manually-wound Lange calibre L101.1 offers 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound, features four of the brand’s signature screwed gold jewel settings and is housed in a 42mm case in platinum or pink gold.
