Vacheron Constantin at the Opera Bastille to Honor Brigitte Lefèvre

A memorable evening for Vacheron Constantin guests took place yesterday at the Opéra Bastille in honour of Brigitte Lefèvre, Director of Ballet at the Paris National Opera, for the past nearly 20 years, who is preparing to hand over to choreographer, Benjamin Millepied.

Sponsor of the Paris National Opera since 2007, the Manufacture Vacheron Constantin naturally partnered this exceptional evening organised under the auspices of the Association pour le rayonnement de l’Opéra national de Paris (AROP – Friends of the Paris Opera and Ballet). After the performances of Le Palais de Cristal (choreography: George Balanchine; costumes: Christian Lacroix) and Daphnis & Chloé (chorégraphy: Benjamin Millepied; decor: Daniel Buren), Juan-Carlos Torres, CEO of Vacheron Constantin, reaffirmed the watch Manufacture’s attachment to the world of arts and culture and ballet in particular because aside from its support of the Paris National Opera, Vacheron Constantin also partners the New York City Ballet, the Royal School of Ballet in London and the Ballet du Grand Théâtre in Geneva.

After the two ballets by George Balanchine and Benjamin Millepied, and to end off this exceptional evening, the 400 or so guests were treated to another sort of première: the gala dinner was effectively held on stage of the Opéra Bastille.
This first in the history of the Paris National Opera was graced with the presence of Brigitte Lefèvre, Benjamin Millepied, Bernard Tschumi, Aurélie Filippetti, Jean-Louis Beffa whom appreciated the sense of detail devoted to the staging of the dinner.

Métiers d’Art Hommage à l’Art de la Danse a vibrant tribute to the world of ballet

In celebration of the evening, Vacheron Constantin presented three new one-of-a-kind additions to its Métiers d’Art Hommage à l’Art de la Danse collection. These creations from the workshops of the Manufacture revisit the ancestral art of Grand Feu grisaille enamelling to highlight the art of classical ballet by reinterpreting the works of Edgar Degas.
