The Dior fashion house entered the world of watchmaking in 1975 but it was in 2001 that the French brand started to take the discipline seriously by setting up its own manufacture in one of the great Swiss watchmaking regions. Les Ateliers Horlogers Dior, located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, presented “ La D de Dior” in 2003, then the “ Chiffre Rouge”, its first gents’ watch. A number of remarkable technical and aesthetic creations followed—in particular with tourbillons—all of which were highly acclaimed by specialists. After conquering the world of high fashion, Dior also won over that of prestige watchmaking.
