EPHJ 2006: enhanced by the economic climate

For its 5th edition, the Environnement Professionel de l’Horlogerie Joaillerie (EPHJ – Prefessional Watchmaking-Jewelry Environment Salon) brought together 284 exhibitors, including 50 companies from outside Switzerland. They presented their products and their savoir-faire during 4 days. According to the organizers of the event, the Salon attracted 4,283 visitors – an increase of 20% over 2005.

The visitors acknowledged that they were impressed by the quality of the products presented and appreciated the convivial and professional ambience of the Salon.
The exhibitors, for their part, underlined the quality of the visitors, who were most often the decision-makers attending the EPHJ with the intention of finding a supplier or ideas. The stands also improved in both quality and appearance and business was qualified as ‘highly satisfactory’.*
In the precision machine-tool and cutting tool sector, there were numerous innovations in the automation of the machine finishing of bottom-plates, whilst crowns, other movement elements and micro-technical parts were to be found on various stands around the Salon.

*EPHJ 2006 survey results:
87.4% of exhibitors replied positively to having made immediate or imminent deals.
97.9% of visitors replied that they were either very satisfied, or satisfied with their visit.

The next EPHJ has already been fixed for June 5-8,2007.
