Milus Zetios Automatic & 'Joaillerie' cufflinks

January 2007

The new ZETIOS Automatic watch range pays homage to the tradition-rich past of the Swiss watch company Milus. This men's watch with its red gold case is ageless but still completely in keeping with this winter's fashion trends. Just like the pink gold collection of 'Joaillerie' cufflinks with their form of a mechanical watch movement.

Eighty-seven years of experience in the art of watchmaking art combined with exquisite design distinguish the Milus brand. The fact that the traditional and the modern can unite consummately is proven by the new Zetios Automatic collection. This men's watch that is reminiscent of design at the time of the foundation of the Milus brand in 1919 has a classic form. The round case, composed of several elements with a flattened outer bezel, gleams in smooth red gold and is harmoniously completed by subtly rounded details. The crown is ingeniously integrated into a distinctive protective housing. The rounded strap connecting elements join the case to a fine alligator leather strap in black.

Divergent areas and graduations create dramatic contrasts on the stylishly designed, electroplated dial. The central circle has a 'Clous de Paris' finish in elegant black. Positioned at 12 o'clock, the large black on white date is displayed to its full advantage, and the black, snailed seconds dial stands out prominently from the background at 6 o'clock, merging into the hours display area with its applied Arabic numerals. A narrow outer ring with minutes index points encircles the whole dial.

The classic design of this timepiece is complemented by a mechanical Swiss quality watch movement with automatic winding.

Ideally suitable for wearing together with the watch, pink gold 'Joaillerie' cufflinks are the perfect accessory for men who prefer the stylish in their choice of fashion. The cufflinks are designed in the form of a mechanical watch movement. Once more, the idea of movement and an element of playfulness – both so important to Milus – have been realised. Milus uses casting – probably the oldest of shaping processes – to give this accessory a form based on that of a watch movement. The cufflinks are visibly full of loving attention to detail, with the moving rotor – inlaid with white diamonds in this creation – as a special eye-catcher. Watch collectors – and many others – will love this accessory, which is symbolic of a passionate commitment to a theme – the timepiece.
