One-time date change: Inhorgenta Europe 2010 to be held in January

November 2008

Exceptionally, the Munich-based Inhorgenta Europe 2010 exhibition will be held from Friday, January 22 to Monday, January 25th instead of its normal time slot in February. The reasons for this change are the conflicting dates in the international trade show calendar. In meetings with the exhibitors represented in the advisory committee, the trade show management decided on this one-time schedule change for the European Union's largest trade show for watches, jewellery, pearls, gemstones and technology.

“We are taking advantage of a unique opportunity provided by Messe München’s show calendar to avoid conflicts with other large watch and jewellery industry expositions,” said Armin Wittmann, Project Manager Inhorgenta Europe. In 2010 the trade show rotation will not include the capital goods exhibition BAU, thus Inhorgenta Europe can be moved to the earlier date. Beginning in 2011, BAU and all other Munich-based trade shows will return to their usual schedules. There are no plans for long-term rescheduling of Inhorgenta Europe’s dates.

“The extensive changes throughout the event calendar of Messe München were not easy to accomplish,” said Wittmann, “but I think we’ve found a good and flexible solution to accommodate our national and international exhibitors and visitors.” Inhorgenta Europe 2009 will be held from Friday, February 20th, to Monday, February 23rd, 2009. The event hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the exception of Monday’s closing at 5:00 pm.
