Linde Werdelin, a sports watch and instrument maker, is exhibiting for the first time at BaselWorld 2009, introducing new watches as well as a new version of the Land Instrument – The Rock. Linde Werdelin is also introducing a new movement made in collaboration with watchmaker Svend Andersen, which is featured in the new Spidolite skeleton dial model.
“2009 marks the beginning of a new and exciting year for Linde Werdelin, which will see the launch of several new watch models, the use of new materials and the redesign of existing ones," says co-founder Jorn Werdelin. "This year will also mark the beginning of the collaboration between Linde Werdelin and Independent watchmakers, introducing new movements for our watches."
The brand will also be introducing a new advertising and image campaign, which Werdelin says "fully translates the spirit of Linde Werdelin, that of a fresh approach to life, filled with excitement and a natural desire to push one’s boundaries and discover the unknown."
In addition, Linde Werdelin is working with well-known French illustrator Dominique Bertail and scenario writer Thierry Smolderen to create a comic that captures the spirit of the brand, which will be introduced at the fair. The comic will also be available to download from Linde Werdelin’s website in the summer.
