April 2009

Alpina

After the success of its Avalanche extreme Regulator Collection, Alpina has now introduced an Automatic Extreme Tourbillon Regulator using a Manufacture Calibre AL-980 developed entirely in-house.
This powerful, sporty looking timepiece has a titanium case (48 mm) with a black ceramic bezel and case back with a sapphire crystal, see-through case back. The movement has a silicium escapement wheel and lever and a one minute tourbillon with open worked cage bridges. The watch has an Incabloc anti-shock system, a Glucydur balance and a Nivarox No. 1 balance spring with a power reserve 48 hours. The movement is decorated with perlage and CÔtes de GenÈve, with a black PVD plated rotor also with CÔtes de GenÈve.
The dial is mat black with applied stainless steel indices, the Regulator is at 10 o’clock and the small seconds hand is at the centre of the tourbillon aperture. This Limited Edition of just 18 pieces is water-resistant to 100 metres.
