The DS Prince (43 mm) is the latest mechanical timepiece to emerge from Certina. With it’s robust yet harmonious appearance and equipped with a Swiss Made ETA Valjoux automatic movement, it will meet the needs of sporting aficionados and followers of the brand’s partner, the BMW Sauber F1 team.
The black dial is set with raised and profiled indices with a bold 12 in Arabic numerals. The hour and minute hands, as well as the indices are coated with Superluminova and the stainless steel watch is water-resistant to 100 metres. There are 12-hour and 30-minute chronograph counters with red hands – the same colour as the main large-second chronograph seconds indicator with the tachymeter markings on a raised sloping edge on the interior of the bezel. Small seconds are at 9 o’clock and the date, which is at 6 o’clock, has a quick-set adjustment set into the side of the case at 10 o’clock. There is a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and there is a transparent case back that enables you to see the blued screws and the CÔtes de GenÈve decoration.
