Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery, in collaboration with China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (C.S.C.L.F.), has launched the ‘Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery Music Fund’, which aims to discover and nurture talented young musicians across China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

The Fund will provide scholarships to young musicians within the framework of an international music exchange program in collaboration with the GRAMMY® Awards and The Recording Academy®. The young talent will be selected from the most prestigious music establishments including the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing and the Xian Conservatory of Music. These young performers will be drawn from various musical disciplines and will include conductors, musicians, singers and composers.

The new fund fits in perfectly with Gucci’s existing activities in support of the arts in general and music in particular. The brand has been a long-standing supporter of The Film Foundation, a non-profit organisation established by Martin Scorsese, for the restoration and presentation of groundbreaking and influential films. Gucci’s partnership with The Recording Academy® (internationally known for the GRAMMY® Awards) dates from 2010 and supports the programs of the GRAMMY Museum® to help preserve historically significant moments and recordings from our global musical heritage.

Thanks to the partnershop with The Recording Academy®, the most exceptional young students from the Gucci Timepieces & Jewellery Music Fund will be chosen to enter GRAMMY® programs in the U.S., including the opportunity to attend the GRAMMY® Camps in New York and Los Angeles and to visit the GRAMMY Museum®, all within a framework of an international cultural exchange.

A website specific to this new collaboration will showcase the individual students and allow visitors to follow their personal development through this unique experience.
