The latest model in Tudor’s Heritage collection, which was first launched in 2010, is the Heritage Black Bay - inspired by a diving model that first appeared in 1954 and continually evolved until the 1980s. Its characteristic features are the domed dial and the unusual burgundy colour bezel and “snowflake” hands.

To complement these original features, the original case design has been reworked, with slender, elongated lugs, to produce a contemporary diameter of 41 mm, waterproof to 200 metres (660 feet) and enhanced by a domed crystal. The black dial, also domed, features luminescent hour markers for perfect visibility. The pink gold of the hands is a further hint of the vintage nature of the piece.

To match the burgundy colour of the unidirectional rotating bezel, a similar touch of burgundy appears on the insert of the winding crown, which is engraved with the Tudor rose.

The Heritage Black Bay model is delivered with a black fabric strap and a steel bracelet, or with a black fabric strap and a second strap in exclusive aged leather: another original touch for an elegant, contemporary watch.

It is powered by the reference 79220R calibre self-winding movement with a power reserve of 38 hours.
