Beyond its signature case with the 24 DeWitt imperial columns and the trusty self-winding movement, it is the beautifully decorated dial of the new DeWitt Twenty-8-Eight Double Time GMT2 Poetic that catches the eye.

The complex structure of the poetic dial, created by the brand’s in-house dial makers, takes on a rosette form that highlights the different decorations: a sunray pattern, half moons at the four quarters in an unusual beige mother-of-pearl, applied pink-gold minute markers, Roman numerals for the hours at the four quarters and Arabic minute numerals around the perimeter. While the second time zone indication stands out thanks to its red skeletonised sword-shaped hand, the day/night indicator at 12 o’clock continues the poetic theme with a decorative sun rising and setting to provide a visual reference.

Sealed inside the lightweight 43mm diameter case in titanium is the DW2002 calibre self-winding movement, which offers a power reserve of 42 hours and is fitted with a DeWitt designed oscillating mass with Côtes de Genève decoration. A black alligator leather strap with titanium pin buckle completes the ensemble.
