Linde Werdelin is kicking off 2015 with a bang!
Introducing a sporty and refreshing take on the Oktopus, the Oktopus Double Date Carbon – Green. Featuring champagne gold detailing, the watch revitalises the distinguished family of revolutionary diving timepieces for an active lifestyle.

Bringing an urban and vibrant touch to the dive series, the Double Date Carbon makes use of evolved design and technical elements to create a unique and exceptional timepiece presented in striking Green.

“On a Linde Werdelin, every little detail is calculated; every millimetre of the watch contributes to the complete design; every nuance has a story.” Morten Linde, Co-Founder

Case & Material
Revisiting the use of revolutionary 3DTP™ - or 3-Dimensional Thin Ply - a proprietary method of sculpting micro carbon fibres into the iconic angular shape of an Oktopus case, the process provides finely-grooved facets and a subtle sheen. _The latter is set against a bezel in black ceramic with brushed satin topside.
The unmistakeable champagne gold detailing is achieved with a ceramic treatment called TIN, which enriches a number of the Double Date Carbon’s specially crafted components.
TIN is used on the crown and for the first time, also on the titanium screws for the bezel and the strap. The signature octopus engraving on the back case is also presented in TIN and every exclusive piece is numbered.

Integrated with a premium natural rubber strap, specifically designed for the Oktopus Double Date Carbon, Linde Werdelin’s proprietary strap system allows the wearer interchangeable options, should they wish to switch to any strap or bracelet in the series.

Dial & Movement
Sitting at 12 o’clock is a skeletonised Double Date complication, developed by Dubois Dépraz and adapted by Linde Werdelin with their custom, skeletonised date wheels.
A double date complication has previously appeared on the Oktopus Double Date Titanium Yellow, Red and Blue and Oktopus Rose Gold. On the Double Date Carbon, the double date complication modified by Linde Werdelin has been produced with newly advanced technology.
It also consists of two independent and incredibly thin TIN-treated date wheels underneath the dial, which rotate in unison above the DLC-treated movement plate to reveal the date numerals through the aperture.
Large hour numerals in a clear printed blue-line Green luminant allow divers to read the dial easily underwater.
