A World-first: the Bichrono by deLaCour

November 2003

deLaCour may be a relatively new name, however, the people behind this brand are certainly not new to the watch industry. For many years they have been creating watches for the private label sector - i.e. for leading brands requiring limited editions of complications.

Appearing under its own brand name for the first time at this year's BaselWorld, the deLaCour watch collections, which range from the classical to the colourful, and from the Oversize to Complications, have met with an outstanding success and can already be seen on the wrists of leading personalities in the world of fashion, cinema and show business in Italy, Spain and much of Europe.

Based in Geneva and headed up by the congenial Alain Jugy, deLaCour's latest creation, the Bichrono, is a world first and has been nominated in the design category of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve. The watch, in a satin-finished 18 carat rose gold is equipped with the latest ETA Calibre 1094 automatic movement and has a double time zone, a double chronograph and the date at 6 o'clock on one of the chronos.

The 'Swiss Made' deLaCour Collections look set to find their niche in the haut de gamme segment of the international watch market.
