Emile Pequignet Watches: 30th Anniversary
Thirty years ago, on January 1st , 1973, Emile Pequignet (picture right) created the company that bears his name. Watches, horses and music are the three passions that have marked the evolution of PÉquignet watches over these three decades.

Involved in the field of watch making since the age of 16, Emile Pequignet has a passion for creating new designs. In 1973, this self-taught 32 year old founded his company and launched a “fashion” collection for day and night, positioned on the high end of the market. Its strength from the outset is its bold designs and the quality of its carefully selected materials.

A competitive man and an accomplished sportsman, he has had a passion for competitive skiing for years, but his greatest passion remains horses. During the 1980s, he began to ride horses and he decided to participate in international competitions through equestrian sponsoring. His numerous activities in the equestrian field allowed him to increase his notoriety and his sponsorship was rewarded by the 3 medals won by French horsemen in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

Precision, creative genius and the quality imposed by Emile PÉquignet built the reputation of the brand in France and abroad. Noble metals - gold, steel, diamond - are combined with the most sophisticated technologies to create a collection that is now centered around 4 main lines:

- Moorea, famous for its watchband composed of individual pieces, individually polished and assembled by hand. Created in 1984, Moorea has become the flagship line of the collection and has given birth to a line of jewelry.

- Chameleon and Sorella Lady characterized by a unique and patented system allowing the interchangeability of the bracelet and especially designed for women, who can change color and style according to their clothing or mood.

- Equus, a masculine line inspired by the passion of Emile Pequignet for horseback riding : arc-shaped strap attachments, dial engraved with a horse's head, saddle strap...

The 1990s were noteworthy for the diversification of the product line: a line of jewelry (bracelets, rings, necklaces, cuff-links, tie clips...) was added to the line of watches as well as a line of accessories (small clocks, pens). Every year 15,000 watches and 20,000 pieces of jewelry leave PÉquignet factories.

To celebrate his 30 years of creation, Emile PÉquignet has decided to create an “Anniversary” watch, produced in a limited series of 30 numbered pieces.

Its 750/1000th (18 carat) gold case, 40mm in diameter, is equipped with a fine skeleton automatic movement, hand finished - 21 rubies, 28,800 rotations/hour, 42-hour power-reserve - visible through its sapphire crystal and back. It is equipped with a real alligator strap with a folding clasp in 750/1000th (18-carat) gold.

Water-resistant to 3 atmospheres and with a total gold weight of 72 grams, this new design has an international guarantee of 3 years, as do all models of this brand.
