Thought provoking, admirable and independent. Unifying, bold, and eye-opening. Different, emotional, and communicative. Vibrant, defining, and impressive. Refreshing approaches to creative statements.
Swatch recognizes these qualities in the work of today's most distinguished artists and designers, Stephen Dean among them.
Stephen Dean's Color on things - color of things was a brilliant interpretation for the Swatch project “Access to luxury.” Dean, one of the hand selected artists invited to participate in the June 2000 celebration of the opening of the Swatch Boutique, 16 Place Vendôme, Paris, France, used an industrial ladder as the foundation on which he fitted Plexiglas color blocks to enhance his statement.

Vivid color on plastic is the latest creation from French artist Stephen Dean to be included in the Swatch Spring Summer 2002 Collection. The results are five fabulous color spectrum canvases to be applied to the wrist. Very Swatch.
