December 2013

Exactly thirteen years after the grand opening of Omega’s first monobrand boutique, the brand opens its doors to a completely renovated store at a new address on Zurich’s famed Bahnhofstrasse.

The new boutique, now located at Bahnhofstrasse 48, stands out from the avenue’s other luxury shops with a bold and branded entrance and is the first “house of OMEGA” to incorporate new design elements. The display counters, columns and wall panelling around the boutique are made of reconstituted zebrawood, a pale brown wood with narrow streaks of dark brown. The stools and chairs in the boutique are crafted from luxurious red leather and complement the champagne glass, sophisticated lighting and marble floors.

Omega’s four iconic watch brands – Constellation, Seamaster, De Ville and Speedmaster - and products from the brand’s Fine Leather and Fine Jewellery collections are displayed on both floors of the boutique, which has a 355-square-metre retail space. An exclusive VIP lounge is situated on the ground floor while an after-sales service centre can be found on the lower level.

A specially trained staff of sales associates who speak German, French, English, Chinese, Italian and Russian are prepared to share with visitors their unparalleled knowledge of OMEGA’s products and its unique heritage.

The Zurich boutique was the first in what has become a global network of monobrand stores at the world’s best retail addresses and when it originally opened on 5 December 2000 at Bahnhofstrasse 52, the Swatch Group’s late chairman, Nicolas G. Hayek, announced that within ten years, Omega would have fifty flagship boutiques in the most desirable locations. Omega reached the goal in 2008 and at the end of 2013 the brand will have opened more than 300 boutiques at major cities around the world.
