Awarded by a jury made up of the most eminent specialists in the field of horology as well as those of fashion and culture, this grand watchmaking prize rewards the year’s most noteworthy accomplishment. The Japanese press salutes the capabilities demonstrated by the Parmigiani Fleurier brand in successfully creating a new introduction that is unprecedented in the distinguished history of Haute Horlogerie: the first ever watch with a transversal movement, a mechanical feat inspired by automobile technology. Through its multiple technical innovations, the Bugatti Type 370 watch proves that it is still possible to invent new ways of viewing watches. Right from the time of its presentation in 2005, it has proved a consistent commercial success, becoming one of the most sought-after watch models among collectors and connoisseurs driven by a penchant for fine mechanical engineering.
