Antiquorum Auctioneers is preparing for its September 14th auction of “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” at their US headquarters in New York City.

Among the extraordinary timepieces being offered is a Patek Philippe ref. 2499 and an extremely rare and probably unique Patek Philippe Split-Second Chronograph ref. 1436.

In addition to these highly collectible watches, collectors can look forward to a very diverse collection of modern and vintage timepieces. Previews will be held in cities across the globe, including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and New York.

Antiquorum's September Auction

The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 2499, third series, originally from the collection of Professor Thomas Engel. Made in 1976, this is an exceptional and extremely rare, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, perpetual calendar, and moon phases. Estimate: $ 300,000 - $ 500,000.
