Invented in the 20th century, the -flying tourbillon is one of the most complex and prestigious watch complications. This mechanism allows the carriage to spin upon itself and as if by magic is one of the extraordinary precisions only mastered by a chosen few watchmakers.

Boucheron's new Hibiscus Tourbillon
Hibiscus Tourbillon in white gold, hummingbird and its -flower paved with diamonds, blue and pink sapphires, white mother-of-pearl dial engraved by hand and blue karung strap. Mechanical movement with hand winding, flying Tourbillon with Swiss escapement lever.

In the Hibiscus Tourbillon watch, the lightness of the movement is highlighted by its branches in the form of leaves; a -floral decoration that animates by the song of the bird. Echoing the balancing skill of a hummingbird in mid—flight, the center two leaves on the frame are beauti-fied by diamonds that beat to the seconds.

Finally, to give ultimate freedom to the graceful expression of -flight and that of the precious -flying tourbillon, the hours and minutes are indicated at 1 o’clock as a small reminder of the placement of Boucheron’s Parisian -flagship at number 26, place Vendôme.
