ChronArte clocks and the flowing of time

February 2007

The ChronArte Quadro wall clock shows, at a single glance, both a visually depicted and precise display of the time. Coloured textile bands build up to form a coloured face, which grows as time passes. After twelve hours, when the 12-columned face is fully coloured, the monochromatic bands change in less than one minute to form a white square – and then the pattern can begin to form again. Quadro measures 50x50 centimetres, is radio-controlled, and changes automatically from standard to daylight-saving time. Bands and aluminium frame are offered in various colours and finishes. Special orders are possible according to individual requests. Every clock is produced in Switzerland as a numbered individual piece.

The ChronArte Canna is a wall clock with real liquid display. A unique design feature for generous and timeless rooms. The twelve crystal clear tubes fill like a cascade with coloured water. Minute by minute, hour by hour. When all are filled, the system empties and the cycle begins anew. Continuously flowing water as a symbol for time and its passing. Time as an endless river. Realized with modern means. The total height of this elegant clock measures 121 cm. The width measures 72 cm. Liquid colours available on consultation.

ChronArte Filo: The column clock with time or date. The column fills with colour showing how the minutes and hours or days pass. One-dimensionally clear. These two timekeepers are amazingly simple and impressive in their design. They form separately or in combination up-to-date and useful elements of interior design. The Filo mesures 208 cm.
