Christie's sale of Important Pocket Watches & Wristwatches totaled US$6,218,352 - the highest total ever achieved at Christie's New York. The top lot was a rare Patek Philippe 18k gold single-button chronograph wristwatch that realized US$432,000. Also of note was a unique “Fishes” bangle bracelet by Patek Philippe which sold for US$120,000 - ten times it's pre-sale low estimate.

The sale exhibited strong support from a vast audience of international private collectors. The fevered bidding further confirms the strength of the market and Christie’s place as the leading choice for the discriminating collector and watch enthusiast.
