Scatola Del Tempo rewards Forest Whitaker

July 2008

Scatola Del Tempo, a prestigious Italian company and creator of the rotating watch holder, offered Forest Whitaker an acknowledgement of the highest calibre, as a protagonist of world cinema. Forest Whitaker was awarded ‘man of style’ by Scatola Del Tempo during an exclusive interview at the Four Seasons in Los Angeles.

He was also mentioned by the American edition of Vogue as one of the most elegantly attired men at the last Oscars ceremony.

Forest

Forest Whitaker, a Texan who grew up in Los Angeles, received the Golden Globe in 2007, a BAFTA and the much coveted Oscar statuette as Best Actor in a leading role in Kevin MacDonald’s movie, The Last King of Scotland (2006). In it, he played Ugandan president Idi Amin Dada, a man accused of genocide and cannibalism, a figure also inspired by African dictator Bokassa.

Today Whitaker is unanimously recognized as a genius of acting and his value is constantly increasing in commercial Hollywood. Even when he is grim and brutal, his most hopeless and cruel roles have an extraordinary realism.

Scatola Del Tempo
Scatola Del Tempo was created at the end of the ‘80s thanks to the vision of a collector, Sandro Colarieti, who sought watch holders worthy of his quality collection. He decided to create his own, employing expert craftsmen and first-rate materials.

After having produced a small series, for himself and as homage to his friend, he started receiving commissions from other collectors and producers. Thus, Scatola Del Tempo was born, today appreciated and known worldwide with its very own, special idea of what constitutes a watchcase.

Sandro Colarieti then created the 1RT model, the prototype for a long series which enjoyed an immediate success, to the point that it was also endorsed by some of the greatest Swiss Houses of Horology such as Patek Philippe.
