Nautica introduces NMX 300

October 2008

Drawing inspiration from vintage, early 1900's deep sea diving helmets, Nautica unfurls a fresh, new collection of men's watches with its NMX 300 series. Just like the classic diving helmet, the NMX 300 features a protective metal cage over the case of the watch as the signature element of this design. This authentic feature adds drama and intrigue to an incredibly masculine timepiece.

Two parallel cage bars frame the dial and extend beyond the case, becoming the lugs that integrate into the resin strap. The screw down crown displays a red indicator through a window on the stem when the crown is screwed down tight into position, adding a touch of authenticity.

NMX 300 is available in both an attention commanding Japanese chronograph movement and a striking three-hand date version. Each features a steel case with titanium frame, luminous hands and markers, and 200M water resistance. Both styles are available in circular, hand-brushed steel or in black ionic plating over steel.

Straps are available in black, red and blue polyurethane with a bold Nautica logo and a hidden comfort feature of cross-hatching design on the back portion of the band. A full green luminous dial is available in the date version.

“The essence of the Nautica brand is to take iconic nautical elements and interpret them in a new and refreshing way that manifests itself in timepieces that transcend time,” states Linda Calvert, Global Brand Director for Nautica Watches.
