Rolex has awarded its 2008 Player of the Year award to Lorena Ochoa, the world's No. 1 ranked female golfer since April 2007, and winner of seven tournaments in 2008.
Ochoa, who has won the Rolex Player of the Year award for the last three years, was also awarded the 2008 Vare Trophy for the Ladies' Professional Gold Association's (LPGA) lowest stroke average (68.6) during the year.
