Icelink Watch raises $6,000 for breast cancer charity

August 2006

IceLink Watch raised $6,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's Las Vegas affiliate during the second month of its national Charity-Links Bracelet Campaign, which raises funds and awareness for selected nonprofit organizations nationwide.

The funds for the campaign were collected through the sale of IceLink Watch's new signature bicycle bracelet line. For the month of May, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation received a portion of the proceeds from bicycle bracelet sales nationwide.

“We are extremely proud to have raised $6,000 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation,” said Andy Sogoyan, owner of IceLink Watch in a statement issued Aug. 30. “We know these funds will be used for women and men battling breast cancer who need support and treatment, and we look forward to the opportunity to continue our work with the foundation in the future.”

IceLink Watch's Charity-Links Bracelet Campaign will benefit seven charities in seven cities over the next seven months through sales of the new bicycle bracelet line. Launching the campaign in its hometown of Los Angeles, IceLink Watch sponsored the Komen Race For the Cure held May 6 in Las Vegas. At the event IceLink Watch handed out bicycle bracelets and pink IceLink Watch hats in an effort to raise awareness for the campaigns efforts. IceLink Watch's efforts have already raised nearly $15,000 in funds for organizations in three cities.

The new Bicycle Bracelet line, IceLink's most affordable yet, is available in three different sizes.
