Glycine is expanding its Combat family with a diver's watch, a chronograph and an automatic watch.
Combat Sub Automatic: the robust diver's watch
The primary objective when choosing components for the Combat Sub is robustness, and thus diver safety. The case is made of high-grade stainless steel, furnished with scratch-resistant sapphire glass and a protected screw-down crown. Superb legibility, one of Glycine's main concerns, is guaranteed by luminous features and a clear, simple design.
The rotating bezel gives the Combat Sub its classic, diver's watch design. The steel back is decorated with a diving symbol.
The Combat Sub is 42 millimetres in diameter, comes equipped with a rubber diver's strap or hardwearing metal bracelet and is available in 3 versions: with a black/orangecoloured dial and a black bezel, with a white or yellow dial and a blue bezel and with a blue dial and an orange bezel. The Combat Sub is waterproof to 200 metres and is equipped with the ETA 2824 movement.
Combat 07 Chronograph: new face
The Combat family already has a great tradition of chronographs. CEO Katherina Brechbühler realises that “they're amongst Glycine's most popular watches”. Little wonder then that she continues to develop this watch and constantly improve it, resulting in the Combat 07 Chronograph, with a screwed-down crown and fresh design. What is striking about the new, but still recognisable design are the two eye-catching counters, at 12 o'clock for the minutes and at 6 o'clock for the hours. The long stopwatch hand in the centre measures the seconds, whilst the see-through back reveals the ETA 7750 movement.
There are three versions of the COMBAT 07 Chronograph, each with a leather strap or steel bracelet: one with the black dial and orange counters typical of Glycine, one with a white dial and grey counters and finally one with both dial and counters in dark blue. This mechanical watch is 43 millimetres in diameter and has a scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
Combat 07 Automatic: functional and clean lines
The Combat 07 Automatic looks every inch a classic and embodies everything that a functional quality watch should be “and nothing more, quite consciously,” says Katherina Brechbühler. The lines of the new automatic Combat are clean in every respect, from the casing to the dial and the hands. The ergonomics have improved over those of its predecessor, which is why the watch fits the wrist even better.
The Combat 07 Automatic is fitted with the ETA 2824 movement, which can be seen through the glass back, has a scratch-resistant sapphire glass and is waterproof up to 50 metres. It is available with three different dials: black/orange, white/grey and blue/orange, and with a leather strap or metal bracelet.
