Linde Werdelin, a sports watch and instrument maker, is exhibiting for the first time at BaselWorld 2009, introducing new watches as well as a new version of the Land Instrument – The Rock. Linde Werdelin is also introducing a new movement made in collaboration with watchmaker Svend Andersen, which is featured in the new Spidolite skeleton dial model.
“2009 marks the beginning of a new and exciting year for Linde Werdelin, which will see the launch of several new watch models, the use of new materials and the redesign of existing ones,“says co-founder Jorn Werdelin.”This year will also mark the beginning of the collaboration between Linde Werdelin and Independent watchmakers, introducing new movements for our watches."
The brand will also be introducing a new advertising and image campaign, which Werdelin says “fully translates the spirit of Linde Werdelin, that of a fresh approach to life, filled with excitement and a natural desire to push one’s boundaries and discover the unknown.”
In addition, Linde Werdelin is working with well-known French illustrator Dominique Bertail and scenario writer Thierry Smolderen to create a comic that captures the spirit of the brand, which will be introduced at the fair. The comic will also be available to download from Linde Werdelin’s website in the summer.
