During the following five months, each mentor will choose a protégé among the finalists chosen by the selection committee for each discipline. The committees are comprised of experts who identify the most promising young talents worldwide. The six mentor-protégé couples will spend a year working together and exchanging ideas, which is beneficial to the protégé and also the mentor. Since the beginning of the programme in 2002, a multitude of the world’s most renowned artists have accepted to be mentors.
