Franck Muller breaks the silence

November 2003

Finally speaking out after several months of silence to give his side of the story, watchmaker Franck Muller organized a press conference on the 20th of November 2003 in Geneva, in response to the many months of press articles and rumours about turmoil in Franck Muller watchland.

Addressing the press and local television crews, he underlined the fact that, neither ill nor on vacation, he is creative and active, albeit not on the premises of Franck Muller Watchland in Genthod near Geneva.

Franck Muller said that he feels betrayed by his associate Vartan Sirmakes and that he had no choice but to demand Watchland's dissolution, in order to “let truth be known.” Last June, he filed a suit against Mr Sirmakes for mismanagement of the company's finances, who in turn counter-launched a suit against Franck Muller for libel.
