President Katsu Nakamura of WAKO Co., Ltd., an affiliate of Seiko Holdings Corporation, and President Shinji Hattori of Seiko Holdings proudly announced that the recently renovated main building of WAKO, an upscale specialty store in Ginza, will reopen on Friday, June 24th.

For the Seiko Holdings Group, which celebrates its 130 years of business this year, Ginza is the origin of its business. WAKO has been running its business in several shops with a focus on the main building located at the Ginza 4-chome intersection. The renovation will merge the previous Watch Salon, Optical Fashion Shop, and Gift Shop into the main building, and the table appointments and Japanese tableware will also move to the main building for an enhanced shopping experience.

Designating WAKO’s main building as a Seiko flagship shop, the SEIKO Salon will newly open on the first floor to offer leading watches from Seiko Watch Corporation; this is the first and one of the largest showrooms in Japan, which can accommodate a wide variety of customer needs. Watches from Seiko Instruments Inc. will also be available on the first floor. On the second floor, one can find cutting-edge eyewear lenses and frames from Seiko Optical Products Co., Ltd., and luxury wall and table clocks from Seiko Clock Inc. will be displayed for sale on the basement floor.

WAKO will serve as an up-to-date information center for the SEIKO brand and offer an excellent product lineup that includes not only watches, but also eyewear and clocks.

In addition, the SEIKO logo will be displayed on the clock tower of WAKO’s main building from Saturday, June 18. Ginza’s symbolic clock tower will also be the “face” of SEIKO.
