At the latest Basel Show, Ambre Group unveiled its first automatic movement to be designed, produced and assembled in Morteau in the Doubs department (the home of French clock and watch making). It took Jean-Paul Boillot, the group’s manufacturing director, two years work to develop this automatic winding movement, named “Ambre”.

It is already being fitted on one of the new collections of its brand “Yonger & Bresson”, comprising 6 lines, each of which bears the name of a French Castle (Chenonceau, La Boissière, Monceau, Monfort, Sully, Versailles).

Part of the watchmaking landscape since 1975, the brand enjoys a strong reputation for the reliability and performance levels of its automatic movements. With the creation of this new movement, Ambre has decided to give the brand a new lease of life, enabling it to offer a quality automatic watch at an affordable price.
