Last winter the Corum-sponsored Maxi Banque Populaire yacht, skippered by Loïck Peyron, won the Jules Verne Trophy after winning the race to sail around the world as a crew with no stopovers and no assistance.

In recognition of this achievement, Corum presented each member of the crew with a personalised Admiral’s Cup model in titanium in the colours of the trophy and the yacht. An extra model was also presented to the yacht’s owners, Banque Populaire, who decided to donate the timepiece to a charitable organisation that shares its values.

The watch will therefore be auctioned at the ARTCURIAL collectors’ watchmaking auction, which will be held on Tuesday July 24th at the Hermitage Hotel in Monte Carlo.

The proceeds from the watch’s sale at auction will go to the “Mécenat Chirurgie Cardiaque” organisation, which offers operations in France to children with cardiac malformations and from underprivileged countries.
