The private event took place at the future home of the Museum – the legendary Wilshire May Company building in the heart of Los Angeles. The event was hosted by the Museum’s campaign chairs, Disney’s chairman and CEO Bob Iger, actors Annette Bening and Tom Hanks, and the Museum’s architects, Renzo Piano and Zoltan Pali.

During the evening, Renzo Piano unveiled the Museum’s concept design and guests previewed some of the iconic artifacts that will be featured in the Museum (such as Dorothy’s red shoes from The Wizard of Oz and the piano featured in Casablanca) along with high tech multi-media presentation of the Museum interactive and immersive exhibitions.
