Gold has been a perpetual source of fascination since the dawn of time. Noble, precious and radiant, as well as dense and malleable, it gives life to some of the most beautiful handcrafted watch and jewellery creations.
In 1977, Corum offered a fresh twist on this symbol of prosperity by creating a watch featuring a dial in the shape of a genuine pure gold ingot.

Years have passed, but the appeal of gold remains as powerful as ever. Corum pays tribute to the historical 1977 model through a new creation with a delightful vintage touch: the Corum Heritage Ingot watch.
Composed of an authentic 15- gram ingot in 3N 24K yellow gold, the dial is engraved with the inscription 999.9 – standing for the highest degree of purity (known as fineness) for this precious metal – along with its weight and the Corum signature.
A hole drilled at the center accommodates the blackened steel hands modeled after the original model. The circumference of the 27 x 36 ingot-dial is finely beaded, while discreet hour-markers stand out against the inner bezel ring so as not to spoil the pure aesthetic.

This precious ingot, of which the authenticity is confirmed by an official certificate, is beautifully framed by an elegant rectangular case in 3N 18K yellow gold with delicately fluted sides echoed on the crown bearing the famous Corum key.
Concealed from sight by a finely striated solid caseback in 3N 18K gold, the automatic CO 082 caliber beats with Swiss-level precision at the rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour. Like the ingot-dial, this refined mechanism opts for a pure, restrained approach that involves showing only the essentials – namely the hours and minutes – and has a 42-hour power reserve. A distinguished black crocodile leather strap fitted with an engraved pin buckle sets the perfect finishing touch to this precious golden composition
