edicated to sharing the history and legacy of Swiss watchmaking since 2015, Initium has been offering unique trainings and bespoke experiences in creating mechanical Swiss watches, from a simple introduction to assembling a complete watch over a day.

In 2021, the company is taking this heritage one step further, and is happy to launch its watch assembling kits, available since November 2021 in over 100 countries. Including all the necessary instructions and materials for a one-of-a-kind independent initiation to watchmaking, the kits “Kairos” turn homes into true workshops.

The watch’s components – the case, movement, hands, dial and straps – can be selected among a wide range of options online, before the kit is directly shipped from Switzerland to the owner’s home in a high-end leather satchel which encompasses the complete watchmaking tools.

The Initium kit “Kairos” offers a sustainable and bespoke experience, regardless of any location worldwide. Much more than a simple toolkit, it showcases a didactic method including video tutorials and instructions from a Master watchmaker in French and English. A forum is accessible anywhere in the world, 24/7, offering a platform to share inquiries and exchange about watchmaking.

The kits are available at Initium’s Geneva, Le Noirmont and Gebertingen workshops for testing upon request.
