Since the 1950’s, Orient and Orient Star have offered high-quality, attainable timepieces with enduring style. Founded in Tokyo, the brands’ heritage is rooted in Japanese craftsmanship, reliability, precision, and beauty that stands the test of time.

Orient has continued to create durable, reliable timepieces featuring high-quality, in-house movements at an accessible price point. In 1951, the desire to create a premium line of watches ensued and Orient Star was born, with a focus on offering intricate craftmanship, robust movements and high-end finishes.

In 2017, after a long partnership in watchmaking, Orient became part of Epson with its established heritage in timekeeping and watchmaking. Today it is fully integrated into the business.

The President of Epson Europe, Yoshiro Nagafusa, said: “Epson is delighted to announce the launch of Orient and Orient Star in the UK. The Epson and Orient brands were both founded in the mid-20th Century and have grown up together to achieve decades of precision and artisanship. These amazing watches are handcrafted in-house, using traditional techniques, to create stunning, eye-catching designs, which stand the test of time. We are excited to introduce our passion of watchmaking to this new market and satisfy the vast fanbase of the brand which already exists.”
