Alsta revives the Nautoscaph Skin Diver

Paying homage to the rich heritage of Alsta dive watches from the 1960s, the brand, which was revived in 2014, is introducing three new Nautoscaph models. These include a signature All-Red colorway and two variants in high-grade bronze, all inheriting the iconic skin diver case shape.

lsta, a name synonymous with horological craftsmanship and innovation dating back to 1946, is excited to announce a refresh of its iconic Nautoscaph wristwatch - in three compelling new colorways. Paying homage to the rich heritage of Alsta dive watches from the 1960s while incorporating modern watchmaking and design elements that exceed the ISO 6425 international dive watch specification, the Nautoscaph will now be available in a new signature All-Red colorway along with two new variants in hi-grade CuSn8 bronze, the sporty Bronze Black and the classy, understated Bronze Silver.

Proudly inheriting the iconic skin diver case shape that has made Alsta dive watches a timeless classic, the Nautoscaph is designed for the adventurous spirit. It’s a watch that seamlessly blends vintage charm with contemporary performance, making it the perfect companion for water enthusiasts and aficionados.

Key Features of the Alsta Nautoscaph:

1. Classic Skin Diver Case Shape: The Nautoscaph faithfully preserves the distinctive and highly recognisable skin diver case shape that made Alsta dive watches a favourite among divers and watch collectors.

2. A New Signature All-Red Colorway: The All-Red is intended to be easily recognisable among the monotony of watch colours and materials. It was inspired by vintage Italian sports cars, and among dive watches, this All-Red treatment is exceedingly rare.

3. High-grade CuSn8 Bronze cases: Found in dive watches costing many thousands more, the Nautoscaph’s bronze case is of the highest quality and will develop a subtle dark patina over time.

4. Radially Brushed Dials: Subtly brushed, these dials retain the sporting legibility of a dive watch while bringing a measure of elegance to the rugged package.

5. Exceptional Performance: Alsta understands the demands of modern divers and adventurers. Every component of the Nautoscaph is engineered to meet and exceed contemporary dive watch standards. This watch is designed to withstand the harshest underwater conditions and can accompany the wearer on any underwater adventure.

6. ISO 6425 Certification: The Nautoscaph surpasses the stringent ISO 6425 international dive watch specifications, demonstrating its reliability and durability in extreme environments. It is a timepiece you can trust to perform when it matters most.

Alsta Watches has a proud history of crafting timepieces that cater to the needs of divers, explorers, and adventurers. With the Nautoscaph, the company continues its tradition of excellence, offering a watch that pays homage to Alsta’s heritage. Whether exploring the ocean’s depths or simply seeking a statement piece reflecting your adventurous spirit, the Nautoscaph is the ideal wrist companion.

The Nautoscaph stands alongside the Superautomatic in Alsta’s catalog. The Superautomatic is a cushion-case dive watch most famously worn by Richard Dreyfus’ character Hooper in the film Jaws. While the Superautomatic remains Alsta’s most iconic watch, these new Nautoscaphs in All-Red, Bronze Black, and Bronze Silver highlight the versatility of Alsta’s 20th-century heritage designs.
