Skeleton watches have become increasingly popular in the past few years, with more and more customers wanting to see the mechan-ical movements at work. Well, Kriëger Watches decided to take that concept several steps further and is introducing the Skeleton Skeleton at BaselWorld this year.

SKELETON SKELETON

A 42mm watch, the new Skeleton Skeleton features a skeletonized movement and adds a special touch - “We took the whole structure and carved it into bones,” Ira Kriëger, President, KriËger Watches, says. “On the front, there is a ‘K’ in bones, and where the spring is, at the two o'clock position, is a skull. Each one is hand made, so each one is unique. We can only do four a month. We are making them in three different ways - one in a steel colour, one in rose gold and one in black, and it is possible to customize them. We've had retailers who wanted to buy the whole year's production.”
Also on Kriëger's slate of new pieces is a new Marine Chronometer, a COSC-certified quartz watch with a thermal compensator for accuracy, with LED windows illuminated at the touch of a button.

LUNAR CHRONOSCOPE

Kriëger is also releasing the Sea Stallion Diver's Watch, water resistant to 800 metres, in a 43mm case. This automatic watch is also COSC certified. Another watch Kriëger will be introducing is a variation of its very popular Tidal Wave, called the Lunar Chronoscope, which shows the wearer the best time to hunt and fish.
