The Swiss watch manufacturer Oris announced today that Ralf Schumacher, Formula One driver of the BMW WilliamsF1 Team, has agreed to become its new ambassador. Oris is currently the official watch partner of the Anglo-German Formula One racing team. Through the partnership with Ralf Schumacher the Hölstein watch manufacturer is increasing its commitment to Formula One. Numerous events are planned during Formula One races and at the forthcoming Watch and Jewellery Fair in Basle. Oris is currently designing a special limited edition timepiece, which will bear the name of Ralf Schumacher. Ralf Schumacher on his new commitment to the Swiss watch brand: “Mechanical watches fascinate me, especially if they combine cutting-edge design with watchmaking art as at Oris: highest precision is a must for both Formula One cars and mechanical watches.
