Staib Germany, a manufacturer of high quality metal watch bracelets, is one of the sponsors of the ’47 – Couleur d’Aquitaine’ moto-cross team in the Barcelona-Dakar Rally.



The company is testing the solidity of its stainless steel Milanese mesh bracelets during this 16-day race which crosses 9,000 kilometres of desert. One of the team’s experienced riders, Michael Griep, comes from the German watch and jewellery centre of Pforzheim, and his boots, which have to stand up to the rigours of sand, stones, mud and wind are fitted with the brand’s Milanese mesh instead of the standard plastic straps. This type of mesh is that used in one of the variety of the bracelets produced by Staib Germany.
