Witschi Electronic Ltd. in Büren an der Aare has been particularly honoured this year. The innovative small company has been singled out by the famous Ernst & Young consulting group as a finalist for “Entrepreneur of the Year 2004”. The purpose of this event is to assess and recognize outstanding achievements by companies.
Witschi Electronic Ltd. has been developing, manufacturing and selling high-quality instruments for tests and measurements in the watch industry for more than 55 years. It is therefore not surprising that it successfully distributes a wide product range in this niche market. Witschi primarily sells equipment and instruments for watch manufacturing or servicing. However, test and measurement instruments in the automotive, chemistry, pharmaceutical and medical fields also form an important part of the applications. So do instruments for special water-resistance tests and torque measurements. Three subsidiaries in Hong Kong, Atlanta and Bucharest consolidate the leading position of the company. The 80 co-workers of the Witschi team place a great emphasis on quality and on customer service.
