H. Stern opens Cannes store

June 2005

Brazilian designer H. Stern will continue its European expansion this summer, with a new store opening in Cannes this month.

This outlet will sell pieces from 25 H. Stern collections, including several pieces worn by Hollywood celebrities on the red carpet circuit. The store's architecture reflects a modern and welcoming atmosphere with a palette of pear wood and glass.

“H. Stern is realizing a dream this summer with the opening of a boutique in Cannes,” company president Richard Barczinski said in a statement. “The city embodies H. Stern's appeal. It's worldly, sensual and classy. It sits on the crossroads of the glitterati with the real world, attracting tourists from all parts of the world.”

Barczinski said the store opening represents that company's commitment to building its brand in European markets. The 60-year-old, family-owned company employs 3,000 people worldwide and runs 160 stores in 12 countries.
