JA Winter Show moves to March

February 2007

The JA New York Winter Show, which has traditionally taken place in January, will be held from March 9-11 in 2008.

Show organizers believe the later date will allow retailers to evaluate their inventory more effectively and get a better sense of their needs for the year before making purchases.

Organizers say this year's show, which took place from Jan. 21-23 at the Jacob K. Javits Center, brought steady foot traffic and strong sales.

Top trends at the show included rose gold, colored pearls, rough-cut stones and long earrings.

The show featured a bridal showcase, held in conjunction with Kleinfeld Bridal. The showcase offered a diversity of bridal looks (featuring both gowns and jewelry) displayed in an area sponsored by Condé Nast Bridal Group.

Future 2007 JA New York shows include the JA New York Summer Show, to be held from July 29-Aug. 1, and the JANY Special Delivery Show, to be held from Oct. 28-30.
