Raymond Weil Genève: First prize at the WWF Gala Panda Ball

May 2007

Geneva watchmaker Raymond Weil and WWF International, join together to protect the natural treasures of the Mediterranean.

This year, the famous and prestigious WWF gala Panda Ball took place at Raffles in the Montreux Palace in Switzerland. Four hundred guests attended the evening organised in favour of the natural treasures of the Mediterranean. His Serene Highness, Prince Albert II of Monaco was invited as guest of honour and the independent Swiss family watchmaker Raymond Weil offered the first prize of the much awaited Panda Ball raffle, the highlight of the evening.

The Geneva watchmaker was pleased to work together with the International WWF in offering as first prize, a ladies 18 carat gold watch from its Parsifal collection, whose delicate dial in white mother-of-pearl with slightly bluish iridescent reflections displays 12 full size, set diamonds, carefully selected for their purity (see photo).

All of the funds collected during the sale of the raffle tickets will be fully donated towards the financing of the Project for the Protection of the Natural Treasures of the
Mediterranean. The evening provided Raymond Weil’s President and CEO, Olivier Bernheim, with the occasion to affirm that the Geneva Brand is directly involved in the move to preserve the planet and the environment.

Parsifal Gold Woman

Raymond Weil’s Parsifal Gold Woman is crafted to appeal to the refined woman.
The independent Swiss watchmaker has played on the contrast of materials, marrying the clarity of diamonds with the warmth of 18 carat gold, to produce a balanced timepiece - simple yet distinguished.

The watch’s appearance is not only emphasized by the dial, delicately embellished with natural white mother-of-pearl, releasing a gentle blue iridescence and
displaying twelve full-body diamonds, carefully selected for their purity, but also by the bracelet, characteristic of the Parsifal collection, contrasting the smooth gold and brushed gold, gem-set finishes of its cross and square-shaped links. The crown’s blue sapphire cabochon provides the final detail to complete the harmony of the whole creation.
