Victorinox Swiss Army awards first Retail Partner of the Year

Victorinox Swiss Army announced the first winner of their new “Retail Partner of the Year” program, introduced one year ago, in a special presentation at BaselWorld 2007. The award—which recognizes one retailer as “best in class” for their outstanding performance, representation, and partnership with the brand—was given to Sterling Jewelers Inc. “Jared The Galleria of Jewelry”. The award was presented by Sue Rechner, CEO of Victorinox Swiss Army Watch to Terry Burman, Sterling Chairman and Signet Group CEO, Ed Hrabak, Sr. Vice President, Merchandising, Laurie Kosarik, Timepiece Director and James Kuzmik, Timepiece Buyer.

“Sterling prides itself on specialized training programs, as well as strong merchandising and marketing programs. This year they put each of these strengths to work for our brand in its Jared stores and delivered in ways that went above and beyond the standards we place on our retail partners,” said Rechner. “We are thrilled to recognize Sterling with this award and to look forward to building on this success with Jared.”
The selection for the “Retail Partner of the Year” award included performance criteria for Victorinox Swiss Army product assortment, training, visual merchandising, and retail sales. As the winner of the 2006 Retail Partner of the Year Award, Jared will receive incremental marketing funds to further enhance their performance of the Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece business.
