Rosy Blue celebrates its 30th anniversary

October 2003

On the 2nd November, Rosy Blue Antwerp, one of the world's leading diamond companies, will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

Rosy Blue began as a small Mumbai workshop for polished diamonds in 1960. Due to steady and rapid growth as well as increasing global business, the company established its international headquarters in Antwerp, the diamond capital of the world, in 1973 to solidify the business relationships it had gained. Since then, Rosy Blue has expanded globally with offices and, polishing and jewelry factories in 16 major diamond centers - Belgium, India, USA, Russia, Israel, Hong Kong, UAE, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Japan, China, Armenia, Canada, South Africa, Luxembourg, Switzerland. Today, the company is active in the entire diamond supply chain catering to the range of need of our global and local customers.

30 years of evolution has seen Rosy Blue become the diamond leader as it is known today, allowing the company to face and adapt to the future challenges of the diamond industry. “The industry has dramatically evolved, especially in the last 10 to 15 years. We live in a free trade world and at present, the diamond business is no exception to the rule,” says Mr. Dilip Mehta, CEO of Rosy Blue N.V.“In other words, adaptation is the key to stay competitive.” The company is currently involved in various branding and marketing programs together with leading retailers and wholesalers globally, and premier designers like Roberto Coin (The Cento Collection) and Vera Wang.

By welcoming over 300 guests - royalty, major suppliers, key clients and partners - Rosy Blue celebrates 30 years of professionalism, service and commitment. Commitment goes beyond the business sphere and extends to society. “It is our duty to give back to the community,” insists Mr. Amit Bhansali, COO of the company. In the past years, Rosy Blue has been actively involved in various charities: financial and active support to the Earthquake Relief Work in India (2001), special efforts by the management and personnel to raise funds for Special Olympics Belgium, organized a 3-day trip to Euro Disney for Belgian underprivileged children, and donations to Aids Worldwide. On the occasion of the Anniversary, the company announces its commitment to the Prince Philippe Fund, which aims to facilitate the dialogue between the different communities in Belgium in order to encourage greater mutual recognition beyond linguistic borders.
